In the 1950s, transistors enabled the miniaturization of radios. Today, the Red Series for Microguitar® is our transistor: a revolutionary technology based on a next-generation bioplastic, called Sugar, loaded with micronized iron to enhance acoustic efficiency. This innovation allows for optimal tension with a reduced diameter, improving sustain (+24%) and sound power (+18%) compared to traditional Fluorocarbon strings.

The six strings of the 187C set differ in material and technology, ensuring perfect tonal homogeneity:

• First and second strings: Sugar bioplastic with iron powder for increased brilliance and sound projection.
• Third string: multifilament coated in stainless steel for a balanced transitional sound and extended durability.
• Fourth, fifth, and sixth strings: red-painted copper to reduce touch noise and minimize metal allergies.
• Sixth string: made with an aerospace-grade multifilament, providing superior sound performance compared to traditional nylon.

Thanks to the density increase in the thinner strings, diameter variation among the trebles is minimized, ensuring more precise intonation, powerful sound, and uniform response across the fretboard. This approach, never introduced before, allows for a clear, dynamic, and responsive sound even beyond the 12th fret, offering an unprecedented playing experience.
