What is the Basskid?

The Basskid® is a short-scale acoustic bass, with a vibrating length of about 53 cm. Despite its compact size, it delivers a powerful and defined sound, with no need for amplification.

Why was it designed with these dimensions?

The compact size of the Basskid® was chosen to enhance music education, making it the perfect instrument for children and young musicians.

Is an amplifier needed?

Unlike elastomer strings commonly used on ukulele basses, which often require an amplifier to be heard clearly, the Round Spirals, combined with the Basskid® design, allow for fully acoustic performance.

Defined Attack: The sound is clearer and more articulated, without the muffled feel typical of rubber strings.
Extended Sustain: The note holds longer resonance thanks to its special structure.
Balanced Tone: The deep and warm tone is very close to that of an acoustic bass.
